Walkfares Jazz Evening 2026

Join us for a live jazz evening in Boreham, Essex on 11 July 2026. A quartet, cocktail bar, and garden setting — all in aid of Farleigh Hospice. Tickets £15.

When is it?

Saturday 11th July 2026 starting from 4pm

What is happening?

  • A live jazz quartet - Mateo Grilo, Zak Barrett, Tamir Smith and James Green
  • A bar selling beer, wine and Pimms
  • A cocktail bar selling various cocktails and spirits
  • Food - Hot dogs, charcuterie platters, scones and snacks
  • Ice Creams and Lollies
  • All purchases can be made with cash or card

Evening timetable

  • 16:00 - 17:00 - Arrive and find a location in the garden, eat and drink
  • There will be 3 x 1 hour live Jazz sets.
  • In between sets, there will be background Jazz music
  • The live music will end around 21:00 and the evening will end at midnight.
HOT HOT HOT!

It is going to be hot and sunny, so please come prepared with sun screen, hats, shades etc.

Our kitchen is air-conditioned if you want to escape the heat for a bit.

Charity

100% of profits go to Farleigh Hospice, supporting people with life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex.

Farleigh Hospice is a mid-Essex charity providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults living with life-limiting illnesses. Based in Chelmsford, it offers patients, families, and carers free clinical, emotional, and practical support.

How much is it?

The cost of the evening is £15 per person, this covers the evenings entertainment and the facilities - 100% of the profits go to Farleigh Hospice!

What else do I need to know?

Seating

We have some chairs, tables and picnic blankets, but if you have your own (table, chair, picnic blanket etc.) please bring them.

Attire

There is no formal dress-code, it may be advisable to bring a sweatshirt, coat or jumper as the evening may be chilly later on.

Parking

We have space for 25 cars and will be allocated on a first-come basis. You can park on Church Road, Juniper Road and Plantation Road.

Payments

We accept both cash and card for payments for tickets, food and drink.

Children

The evening is an adult-only event, but children over 16 years would be welcome too.

Inclement weather

Not this year, it is going to be a scorcher!!
